Undated bottle at 35 degrees into standard pint glass
Aroma of some nasty sulfur compounds (Skunked)
Head small (2 cm), white, fizzy, quickly diminishing to a 1 mm partial layer
Lacing – none
Body light yellow, clear, rising bubbles
Flavor very odd – pretty heavy on dimethylsulfide and sweet, leaving a taste of organic acids behind (think 5 or 6 carbon chains); no hops, no malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate light, watery, lively carbonation
A very nasty example of a low alcohol beer. The palate and appearance are not too bad but the rest is just unpleasant. I would drain pour the rest of this but I’m too cheap (and apparently a masochist as well).
Aroma 2, Appearance 2.5, Flavor 1, Palate 2.75. Overall 2.06

Poured into a shaker pint glass.
Look: Light golden body. Fizzy white head with no retention or lacing.
Aroma: Slightly metallic, sour adjuncts.
Taste: Sweetness up front, light and grainy.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and carbonated.
Overall: The taste and mouthfeel make up for the lackluster aroma and look. This is a very clean, refreshing beer.

Sapporo Light has a thin, white head, a somewhat hazy, bubbly straw appearance, and a bit of spider web lacing left behind. The aroma is quite rich and pungent, with sweet, biscuit malt and grass. The flavor, however, is watered down. One will detect a slight hop bitterness and a touch of grain husk. Mouthfeel is not as light a usual, and one will experience a pleasant body, here. Sapporo Light finishes mostly dry, crisp, and refreshing. Yes, it is a rather dull, light beer, but in the style, it is much better than usual.

Sapporo Premium Light
LOOK: Perfectly clear light yellow. Soapy white fizzy head dies on impact. Active carbonation rises briskly to the top. Looks like a light lager.
SMELL: Cereal grains, very light malts and sweet rice.
TASTE: Creamed corn, malts, sweet rice. Snap of lemony citrus from the hop additions. Bitterness is medium, which is well stated for the style. Mild metallic taste. A primordial soup of cereal grains muddles what could have been a clean finish.
FEEL: Light bodied, well carbonated lager beer. Would be a crisp finish, but leaves a chalky feel that is abnormal for the style.
OVERALL: Average at best. Trying every beer possible has its downfalls. If yours not eating sushi while you're having this beer, you're doing something wrong.

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and some bits of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: There are very light aromas of adjunct malts in the nose—rice seems to stand out in particular.
T: Much like the smell, the taste is nearly dominated by light flavors of rice and has a slight amount of bitterness from the hops.
M: It feels light-bodied and a little watery on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer is rather bland, and reminds me of eating a bowl of plain white rice.

Thin head on top of a clear, lightest straw colored body. It's almost colorless.
Strong metallic smell with a hint of honey.
Taste is watery, a little metallic, mild bitterness and sweet end. Faint taste overall.
Light body, moderate carbonation.
Nothing special or interesting. Another light lager without flavor.

12 oz bottle served on a chilled glass. The appearance of the beer was just as any other light lager, it had a small half finger head that remained for a while. The aroma was delicate. The taste was very refreshing and went well with the japanese dinner I was having. It left a very nice aftertaste in my mouth after every sip. Overall this is a good take on a Lager by the Japanese, I would recommend it but give the choice I would drink the regular Lager.
