Sapporo Reserve is a nicely carbonated beer that starts off on a positive note with its solid head of foam that holds its own. This beer is a little bit fruity, a little bit malty, and a little bit metallic in aroma, and has a nice, golden color.
Sapporo Reserve is an all- malt brew and its taste is clean and pure. The taste of toasted barley malt is the flavor that greets the palate from the beginning and continues through the finish. Along with the barley, there are some other grains, a touch of fruit, and a slight metallic presence that is then broken up with a small amount of hop spice in the finish.
Sapporo Reserve is a Euro- lager style brew that is medium in body and offers a better taste than the more popular Sapporo Premium Beer. One of the key reasons I like Sapporo Reserve better is because it's an all- malt brew that is free from rice or adjuncts. Some like the snappy bite from the rice, but I will choose an all- malt brew over a rice- enhanced brew almost every time.
This beer offers a noticeable improvement compared to Sapporo Premium Beer. Its all- malt goodness and no- frills approach make it a good beer for everyday consumption.

Appearance: pours a thin head that recedes quickly. Lots of streaming carbonation and bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass. Color is a deep golden. Mild lacing.
Aroma: rich aroma of toasted malt, a bit of grassiness and some hop spice. Very pleasant aroma. Mouthfeel: slightly heavier than most lagers, has a fullness in the mouth feel, almost some wine like characteristics. Finish is dry.
Flavor: nice combination that mirrors the aroma. Toasted white bread, some grassy flavors, and some mild lingering hop bitterness.
