Pours a nice golden color, ever so slightly hazy. There's a thin white head that never quite goes away.
Smells pretty good. More complex than the typical Sapporo or any of the Japanese rice lagers for that matter. This one has nice maltiness and a bit of hops in the aroma.
The taste is clean, malts again with hops that aren't too bitter. If you were to compare this to the Sapporo rice lager, you would say this one is a little less dry with a bit more body. No rice tastes though.
Mouthfeel is of moderate carbonation and a smooth finish, which seems to fits lagers well in general, so nothing to complain about.
I like this one better than most Japanese lagers. It compliments Japanese cuisine pretty well.

Appearance: pours a thin head that recedes quickly. Lots of streaming carbonation and bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass. Color is a deep golden. Mild lacing.
Aroma: rich aroma of toasted malt, a bit of grassiness and some hop spice. Very pleasant aroma. Mouthfeel: slightly heavier than most lagers, has a fullness in the mouth feel, almost some wine like characteristics. Finish is dry.
Flavor: nice combination that mirrors the aroma. Toasted white bread, some grassy flavors, and some mild lingering hop bitterness.
Serving type: bottle
