My canned beer kick continues unabated, despite Jacey's many attempts to get me to be quiet.

It poured with two fingers of rocky, bone-white head that slowly fell away into a light foamy coating on top of the beer. The color was a spectacular golden yellow with NE-plus quality clarity. I could almost read things on the other side of the room! The nose was both sweetish and metallic at the same time. Mouthfeel was on the thin side with a mild sweetness on the tongue. The finish was really metallic, however, and lingered well after the swallow. Oof. It came in a big 22-ounce can, so the price was not something to quibble about, but there are much better (and equally inexpensive) examples of the style available. Give one a try, but for me, it was a once-and-done experience.

650 ml steel can into a large Lager glass.
L: SRM 4 Pours a lightly yeasted glowing light orange gold with very good steady carbonation, a thin eggshell white head that moves quickly to edge foam, no lacing.
S: Light malts , light grains, distant floral notes. Only very light expressions.
T: Lightly sharp metallic hops, gently rich caramel malt notes, grains, a hint of white grape, distant fruit notes, very light citrus zest in the finish.
F: Crisp then a lightly long cola-like medium-light bodied mouthfeel and a medium-long moderately drying finish that lingers. It is a little bit soft overall and is lightly filling.
O: A semi-full flavored Lager. It is gently rich tasting but not deep. Generously malted and is lightly sweet. Well balanced and good tasting but is kind of one-dimensional. It is okay in its style.

"Brewed in Vietnam", how odd. All of the other Japanese-branded beers available in my neck of the woods, namely New Jersey/NYC metro, are brewed in Canada, the USA and even Italy. Why just this one Sapporo product? I'll never understand globalism! The beer? It's okay, I mean the average score here on this site says it all. I like the fact that I'm drinking a beer without adjunct ingredients, but sometimes those adjuncts make for a better taste, in my view, like the sweetness from the right amount of corn or the dryness that rice might lend to it. This beer is simple, that goes without saying. It needs to be consumed cold, also a big 'duh'. It comes packaged in a cool, fluted can with clean graphics, so there's that. If I were to compare it to the other Japanese-branded beers that I drink, I would go for Asahi Super Dry and Kirin Ichiban before reaching for this one again. Not much else to report, here fellas and gals.

This is a most pleasant all malt brew, for goodness sakes. The bottle(s) I've had have been tastefully, solidly: "beer". OK is ok but good is this brew, either brewed in 'Nam, Canada, the U.S of A., wherever. This just tastes good & try it as cold as you can get it.

The pour is straw colored with a moderate amount of carbonation. The taste is mild corn, grains, & mild hops. Cheers! B-

Nucleated Pilsner
Look: Honey-gold in color, which pulls a 1 inch head which dissipates into a ring with lacing
Smell: Fairly plain. Light malt and light citrus notes
Taste: Malty and light hops
Feel: Crisp and clean I would say. Gentle carbonation.
Overall: Its alright, not amazing by any means. I wouldn't buy again but if I was offered it I would drink it.
