A-Pours a cloudy,et bright yellowish orange color. Very opaque in body. Head is a thick chunk of clean, white foam. Dots and islands of lacing.
S-This HBC 342 hop is very unique in aroma. It reminds me of the kiwi fruit a lot. It is also noticeably citrusy. Light, wheatiness as well.
T-The hop-derived flavor is much different here than in the nose. Instead of the kiwi flavor, I get a much more coercive, grassy bitterness here. There is some sturdy grapefruit and citrus and also some light yeasty spiciness. It is rounded out with a mellow, pale, malty character.
M-Medium bodied. Very bitter. Lots of carbonation. No noticeable alcohol.
O/D-A unique hop experience. I enjoyed the nose more than the flavor. This was a pretty interesting bomber. I would go back to their Hop Essence series again.
