Notes/Commercial Description:
Hops and Robbers was formulated with two great friends who share a passion for Craft beer, conversation, stealth missions (Finding great beer on tap) and travel. Nathan and Claude have always been looking for the next big score for IPA’s, so we decided to produce our own beer for the local market that had a great balance, aroma and 50 IBU’s!

This is golden IPA with an exceptionally rich and complex character. Fruity aromas of lemon with hints of pineapple combine crisply with toasty caramel flavours and a tasty malt backbone. Dry hopping with cascade hops ensures more hop aromatics are retained in the finished beer. Made with pride and panache, Double Trouble Brewing’s flagship brand Hops & Robbers is refreshingly delicious.

The real thief was the person who called this an ipa. I think there were more hops painted on the can than used in the beer inside it. Quite flavorless and disappointing.

Roasted malts and sweet hops. Not bad but it looks like an american barley wine.

Can to Glass

Appearance - Poured a clear copper colour with a small white head

Smell - Does not smell like an IPA, no hop smell what so ever

Taste - This really isn't an IPA at all, very slight hop taste, tastes more like a lager

Overall - Where are the hops? Not a good IPA at all

Bought this in a whim hoping to discover something new and exciting...I come from a Heady Topper generation where IPA has a standard that is pretty tough to beat.

A - nice gold amber colour, with a white head
S - nice hop smell, reminds me of dog fish head
T - clean bitterness, very subtle sweet, I was actually hoping for more...
M - carbonation is right on.
O - I wanted to like it more. It is drinkable and does grow on you as you sip away. The lingering bitterness is nice on my palate anyway...
