Poured from the can into a tall Carlsberg glass.

Giant bone white and foamy head, easily making three to four fingers with large retention and island capped head. Lots of staying power as well. Body is a great dark brass gold and super crystal clear with a mix of slow and fast rising carbonation. Real great looking brew.

Nice soft pilsner like malts, not much hop herbality. Not much bread like notes, and kind of subdued nose, but otherwise fine.

Body on the palate seems expectedly light and not much flavor. Muted crispness with a little bit of prickly carbonation. Beer seems a little flat. Some of the herbality hop bent is present on the finish with some little spiced like undertones, but fairly mild.

Overall an ok pilsner but nothing mindblowing here.

473 ml can from LCBO poured into a pint glass.

Appearance- Nice pour reveals a slightly cloudy golden color of beer, with a small white head that dissipates fairly quickly. First glance doesn't really look like like a pilsener, but given the obvious carbonation, it looks intriguing. Some lacing left in a ring around the glass.

Smell - Grassy notes, some mild malts thrown in for good measure. Slight hints of orange for good measure. Even some hops are apparent. Nothing strong here, but a nice wide variety of smells.

Taste - Actually like it smells, with all those different flavor profiles. Doesn't taste like a classic German pilsener, more like a pilsener crossed with a very mild low-hops IPA. Bitter aftertaste is welcoming and not overpowering.

Mouthfeel - Nice and wet. Has a welcoming thinness that adds to the refreshing nature of this beer. Carbonation is high, but medium body. This just works quite well together.

Overall- really enjoyed this quite a bit, pleasantly surprised by quality of beer and unique flavor profile. Definitely not a classic German Pilsener in any sense, but as a beer that is high consumable liquid gold on a warm October day, it is excellent.

Double Trouble Brewing Co. - Prison Break Breakout Pilsner, poured into a pilsener glass.

Look - Pours mostly clear bubbly pale yellow with a good sized foamy head and chunky lacing.

Smell - Typical pils aroma, slightly muted moreso than most. Not a trace of hops.

Taste - Fruity pils taste and then there are those hops! Touch of bitter pine and ending a bit acidic/astringent. Not particularly balanced here, all over the place.

Mouthfeel - Rests bitter and metallic, almost numbing to the tongue. Not boozy but not particularly drinkable either.

Overall - This beer can't hold a candle to a few choice domestic brews, sadly. Do not recommend at all.

Can: Poured a clear bright yellow color pilsner with a medium pure white foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet mal notes with very timid hops presence. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet notes with also unnoticeable hops presence. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but nothing really standing out that would make me want to go back and try this beer again.

Appearance: It has a nice slight hazy golden/yellow color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down somewhat fast and leaves very little lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of grainy and bready malts, grassy hops and light caramel.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a some sweet grainy malts, some breadiness, grassy/floral hops and faint caramel.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with decent flavors and aromas.

Taste- Citrus hops, bready caramalts, and grains. Finishes with a light bitterness.
