Scored a bottle thanks to @miggs3030 A great BA.
A- It initially has a finger-thick pale white head, but that dissipates quickly. It leaves behind a layer of lace atop the liquid. Lots of carbonation is visible working its way up to the top. The body is a cloudy brown color with some blonde hues.
S- Aggressively sour on the nose. Something suggests salt like on a gose, with that barnyard funk and what I'd say most people call horse blanket. There's a funky fruit aroma, probably cherries, and a slight hint of malt.
T- Very nice. I'm still getting the earthy funk, some cherry-like fruity flavors, but also some slight caramel and other malty flavors. They're slight but still there. The sour notes have a both earthy and fruity. There's a slight hint of some toasty malt. Citrus becomes more and more noticeable.
M- Tart, sour, with a medium body. Above average carbonation provides a lively feel.
TRVE is 2 for 2 with me with their sour ales. I'm officially a fan. This beer is all-around excellent.

Reviewed from notes. Waxed 750ml bottle shared by Richard - thanks.
A: Pours a hazed orangish brown under a thin (1/16") white head and leaves spots of lace.
N: Malty at first, followed by herbs, vinous, grainy, and sour notes.
T: Juniper and strawberries stand out amongst the funky barn critters. Complexly sour.
M: Semi-moderate body and light carbonation. Bretty funk, fruity sour finish.
O: Unique and enjoyable. If you get a chance to try this don't pass it up.

This beer is amazing.
I wouldn't call it a bad La Folie clone, just because it's a sour brown ale. They were going for something different here. This beer has a big brown malt base and has very subtle characteristics. It isn't extremely sour like La Folie, but you get some nice caramel and brown sugar right before the lactic acid rush in the end. It's a really cool take on a sour brown, and I recommend it to everyone.

A little light in color out of the bottle and that continues in the taste and mouthfeel. It is carbed perfectly but the entire thing feels and taste like you tried to clone La Folie with bad results. It's thin and tart but mouthfeel is all carbonation. For the same price in Denver grab a La Folie.

Their most recent bottle release, a sour brown aged in whiskey barrels.
Pours wooden brown with an off white head that quickly recedes, leaving a touch throughout the surface. Aroma does a great job capturing the brown ale side of this beer along with the sourness; roasty, brown sugar, cocoa and soe coffee, a touch of dark fruit and some vinegar. Thought this captured the maltiness of a brown incredible well, especially with this being a sour. Flavor was sour with some lemomny vinegar, brown sugar, dark fruits, a touch of light roast coffee and chocolate.A medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, a very nice offering from TRVE here. Worth the $18 a bottle, no, but then again I am happy that I was able to buy a bottle. Love what these guys are putting out.
