Bottle at Chaucers- Pale yellow pour with a small fizzy white cap. Nose is bready malts with herbal hops, some grains, straw. Fruity malts meet a bit of floral hops in the flavour arena, and the result is a muted finish of both, with a dose of grains. Sweet, thin, boring. I saw the bottle on display and had to try it.

Couldn't pass this one up when I saw it in a Moscow grocery store recently. Clear 33cl bottle with a plain blue label and the words "Schloss Eggenberg" etched into the glass. Ingredients list includes "extract of cannabis seeds," in addition to hops and hops extract Yum! The label recommends visiting their website (www.spirit-of-hemp.com). I can only second the recommendation, particularly the part why they announce the search for a new virgin to participate in the annual brewing ceremony. $1,000 prize to the winner, too!
Yes, well, back to the beer. Nothing to get excited about. Pours a clear straw gold under a white bubbly head that started at three fingers, but quickly settle at one half finger. The nose is malty, grainy and vegetable. The body is light, and the carbonation mild. There's a definite sweet herbal taste along with lots of malt. There's some hops, but they are quite subdued. The aftertaste is sweet, but moon cakes are better - or, ahem, so I am told....
