An interesting blend of American hops bursts with notes of grapefruit, tangerine, and floral aromas.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a deep copper color with a bubbly to semi-foamy off white head. Dissipates quickly and barely leaves any lace. The aroma had some old school caramel malt up front with a light earthy to piney hop bitterness. Subtle citrus rind underneath. The flavor takes the previously mentioned aromas to blend decently. Light blended malt to hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Same in the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation felt fine along with the ABV. Overall, decent DIPA, I could do this again if handed, but not really one to go out of my way for.

Orange amber color and very cloudy. Moderate head which settles to a thin layer of bubbles. Modest spots for lace.
Solid malt base with a floral hop nose. Minor touch of alcohol.
The malt portion of the taste shows the warmth of the higher alcohol. The hop appears before the swallow and only intensifies in the finish. Warming, long, bitter aftertaste. Leans full in body with a higher carbonation.

Bottle shared by Kelly and Paul, thanks for the opportunity! Deep copper color with a small bubbly off white head. Rich caramel nose and flavor with faint earthy piney citrus hop aroma and flavor. Moderate hop bitterness. Bottle might be a bit old hard to tell without any obvious dating. Good but not great.

A- 12oz bottle releases a hazy golden brew into my snifter. The head forms to about an inch high with a thick creamy consistency and good retention. Islands and a ring remain dropping webs of lace.
S- Bright musty and dank citrus lead off the aroma and end up combining with fairly sweet malts to give off a candied orange peel feel to it all. Mostly the oranges from the hops but grapefruit, floral, pine and herbal hints also come out.
T- Similar to the aroma but more of a malt presence and some pale fruits from the yeast further hinder the ability of the hops to shine. Zesty orange, grapefruit, tangerine, bitter pine, herbs, floral, earthy and slight mango from the hops. Fairly sweet slightly caramelized grain base and some yeast bread as well.
MF- Silky and chewy creamy texture to a medium-thick body. Carbonation comes in at a medium level and it finishes bittersweet.
A Double IPA that starts off with a fresh citrus aroma but kind of falls off after that with some time and warming. The flavor especially suffers with notes of pale fruits and sweet grains not playing well with the chosen hops.

I'm blown away with how much they improved this beer. I was completely underwhelmed the first time I had this because it had a very pronounced cardboard flavor. Now it's a bold, hoppy and delicious beer. Fantastic fruit and pine aromas. Very complex flavors that mirror the aroma. And a nice soft yet firm feel. From what I can tell, Relic is really reinventing itself lately and it seems to be working out.

Pours a five finger white head that fades leaving some lace. Hazy amber color with some yeast left in glass. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Grapefruit nose, flavor is grapefruit, lingering bitter aftertaste. $3.60 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.

Not picking up much here out of the bottle.
Some very very mild hops. Can't even say what flavors I'm picking up in the nose.
Clean taste and mouthfeel, but again, not much punch from the hops.
Disappointing, but still drinkable.
MUCH better fresh on tap from the source.
