This liquor store is only a block from my apartment, so it's often been a handy place for me to go when I don't feel like trucking over to the stores I usually shop at.
City Cellars is in most respects a decent liquor store with a better selection of beer than most of Edmonton's liquor stores. They carry a good variety of imports and micro brews, focusing more on Canadian micro brews than American ones.
It's nice to see the variety of products City Cellars carries. They have examples of many different styles of ales and lagers ranging from Czech Pilsners up to Barley Wines and Imperial Stouts. And the staff are always friendly and helpful.
The one issue I do have with City Cellars is that they are a little pricier than some of the other places I shop. For example, their Anchor Steam Beer 6 packs are $20 vs the $15.50 I'll pay over at Sherbrooke. It would also be nice to see more 4 packs of beers like Fullers ESB rather than the single bottles. I only say this because beer in Alberta is expensive enough as it is. It would be nice to see City Cellars take a couple small steps to make their products a little more economically priced than they are at the present.
My one complaint aside, City Cellars is one of Edmonton's better beer stores.
