Appearance: Pours a darkened golden body with a light haze. Smallish, near white head.

Smell: Faint notes of clove, herb, orangey citrus.

Taste: Wheat, bread and a light, slight sweetness. It is light somewhat bland.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-low carbonation.

Overall: Not something I’ll be looking for in the future…

11.2 ounce bottle - Sherlock's in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a darkened golden body with a light dusting of haze. Smallish, near white head.

Smell: Yeasty bready with a little wheatiness and some rather faint, faint notes of clove, herb, orangey citrus.

Taste: Wheat, bread and a light, quickly vanishing sweetness followed by an ill-defined hint of fleeting fruitiness. Ultra low hints of spice, herb. There's light and refreshing, there's mild yet appetizing, but this is just weak and bland. It's a dud.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-low carbonation.

Overall: Well, the beer's a clunker, but, boy, how about that adorable lil' bottle, huh?

L: Frothy, eggshell head; dark amber, brownish body.

S: Bread.

T: Bread, biscuit.

F: Dry, chewy, granular, oxidized.

OVERALL: Absolute garbage. Fresh bottle is oxidized, chewy, broken apart, and totally misses all the pleasant nuances of the Weizen style.

Pretty good Hefeweizen, and somewhat of a surprise because Northern Germany is not traditionally Hefeweizen territory. The Northern beers tend to be a bit more on hoppy side, more bitter and less fruity and floral. So this does not have the soft banana and clove notes of their counterparts from Bavaria. Still, very enjoyable.
