My wife and I decided to go here in early February 2012, soon after they opened their doors for the first time to the public. It was a Friday night, and we were expecting a wait. We waited over an hour in line outside in the cold, but the doorman was doing a great job keeping people updated on wait times. Atmosphere was both positive and negative. On a positive note, very cool decor. On the negative, it was so dark that people were using cell phones and table candles to read the menu. Also, it was so loud in there that it was impossible to hear the waitress and have a decent conversation with my wife. The tables are so squashed together that I felt like I was sitting on top of the people next to us. Service was on the weak side too. We ordered no cheese on a certain item, so when it came with cheese we had to send it back. Then we got all our tacos first, then the nachos we wanted to snack on first came afterwards. Food comes out when it's ready, we were told. Food was very good though. Tiny tacos at $4 each, so I ordered 4 then 1 more because I was still hungry. Huge selection of tequila, and the beer selection was decent. Modelo on tap for the cuisine, plus a few local craft brews, and one dark German beer. Bunch of Mexican beers in bottles. The beer list does not compare to Deep Ellum, so don't expect that. Price sneaks up on you quick, because you have to order a lot of small items. We'd probably go back here because the food was good, but not on a weekend. Way too annoying. Head there on a weeknight.
