poured from a 375 ml bottle into a snifter. Thanks to EvanMa for this one

The beer is nearly black with a few visible reddish highlights. There is a big, creamy, dark brown colored head that quickly recedes leaving behind hardly any lacing.

Lots of roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, and bourbone. There is also just a hint of coffee present but not overpowering. It really mingles well with the rest of the aromas present. There is also a bit of molasses that round out the nose.

The dominant flavors are that of roasted malts, caramel, bourbon, and to a lesser degree chocolate and vanilla. Just a hint of alcohol burn that lets you know that it is there. A very well crafted beer. Medium/Full bodied and heavily carbonated, almost a bit too much carbonation.

Overall, a very nice Imperial Stout. Definitely one of the better examples of the style. I just wish I had regular access to this beer

Wow. What a surprised!

Chocolate, vanilla, oak, rye spicy-ness, and some booze... so complex and well executed beer. This beer, imo, stand next to some of the best BA stouts out there.

Snappy bubbly dark caramel colored burnt head. Rises fast and seems to fall fast, but on the fall, it levels off to a 1/2 finger dense foam. Very dark black, but rather thin. Not the best appearance. Nice legs, not much retention and no lacing.

TONS of vanilla, oak, bourbon, chocolate, spice, molasses. Heavy and robust.

Flavors are much lighter than aroma. Thin feel and heavy carbonation takes away from over all experience, but doesn't kill it. Barrel flavors are very nice and full. Lots of robust dark, deep, chewy, chocolate covered slightly in vanilla and red wine. Lots of toasty caramel There's not many corners cut with the flavors.

A great collaboration between two great places. B'side Avarice is a solid brew, even at @ $17. Highly recommended for the beginner BA stout drinker. A perfect start to Super Bowl Sunday!!! GO BRONCOS!!!
