Per a sample at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellowy color with darker straw hues throughout. A persistent rocky white head with good retention and lace.

The nose is soft overall but more noticeable yeasty characters. A hint of malt but more generic than anything. Some hint of lemon and citrus but light. The yeast really comes out with banana note on par with some hefe's. Some minor dirty drains/sock notes but light. Some pepper and coriander but limited.

The taste is similar. The malt comes out more with a soft biscuit almost flour-esk. Some hop notes as well, more earthy. The spices are limited and would like a bit more for balance. Some white peppery notes and a touch of coriander but light. The yeast is more in check but still a big banana note that is a bit much for a wit. Good fruity notes linger with orange and lemon notes.

The body is light. Preference wise I would like a bit more depth, but ok for style. Carbonation is big but ok for style. Overall the banana notes are a bit off for me. I would like more of the fruity and spicy notes but still a good easy drinking beer.

16 oz can. Pours clear straw yellow with a big meringue-like white head that retains well and laces the glass some. The second pour is a bit hazy.

The aroma is sweet wheaty malt and some funky fruit and banana with a bit of coriander and perfume.

The flavor is sweet wheaty malt with musty yeast and very little spice. The finish is pretty bitter for the style. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with very spritzy active carbonation.

Overall, meh for a wit. It's a bit sweet and musty with no spice.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

The beer is a hazy murky soft golden color. An impressive bright white fluffy head hangs around for a long while, leaving bubbly, airy lacing.

The aroma is sweet and fruity, maybe even tangy somehow. A little bit of banana peel in the finish.

The taste is really sweet and malty up front. A lot of bread and grain notes mix with banana and subtle tropical fruits.

The mouthfeel is somewhat light and carbonated.

Overall, a refreshing witbier with good character. Would be a great deck beer in warmer months.

Very tall head in the narrow Wittekerke glass with a pale lemon-colored brew. Quite sudsy, especially gulped straight from the can, which seems to work better than watching the big head not melt away for minutes and minutes.

Thin body with the distinctive beery spice note of the typical Witbier. The faintest sweet malt taste flees in the face of the yeasty bitterness. Serious cloves and coriander in this stuff. It has a lot of that mineral taste that reminds me of the smell of pencil shavings, but heavy on the graphite. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter with the yeasty residue.

This hits all the bases on the style but it's not very tasty. Seems kind of harsh, bitter, and acidic for a Wit. The 16 oz can was marked down at Grapevine Liquors in Denver.
