12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy light copper amber with a medium creamy off white head that goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is creamy biscuit malt with some fruit and very floral hops.
The flavor is sweet fruity metallic caramel malt with soapy floral hops. It's an odd mix. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, Interesting but too odd for me.

Draft at brewery, Lakewood location . Resinous IPA, piney, slick, slippery. Nothing special, finishes fast. Just plain average. enough said, say no ore, nudge , nudge

This brewer says this is infused with "whole flower chrysanthemum" plus "Chinese rock brown sugar," whatever that is. Two unique ingredients in one beer. But it's quite drinkable if you're not thinking pedal-to-the-metal hop blast.
This beer really does have that unmistakeable nose and taste. It brought back childhood in an instant-- playing in the back yard in my mother's chrysanthemum plants with that smell of the leaves lingering in my brain for decades.
Fairly malty with a substantial body. Some sweetness. Not very bitter. In fact I wouldn't be so bold as to call this an IPA. It does have some hop aromatics but it's more of an herbal Pale Ale. Quite drinkable and definitely one to try at the brewery, as it's a good example of their off-kilter but friendly brews. On tap at the east Denver tasting room.
