Appearance: Poured from pint can a tawny, darkened amber with creamy tan head. Lace is spotty and sloppy.

Aroma: Watery iced coffee, and definitely some cocoa notes. Not bad, though a bit light somehow.

Taste: Plenty of coffee and chocolate here, hitting the palate immediately. The body here seems thin, though, so this one feels really light. A decent session-worthy coffee stout here (at only 5.8%), and one to surely please fans of both coffee and beer, though I find this one a mite lacking in the richness and sturdiness that a good coffee stout demands.

A-Clear brown in the glass one finger white head

S-Lots of coffee, some roast, hazelnuts

T-Lots of coffee, but the coffee is not the best. Roasted malt as well.

M-Lighter for they style and a tad thin.

O-A good beer that with some tweaks could be really good.

Very mediocre. No strong defining flavor that jumps out. It's has the subtle coffe flavor, but can defiantly use more work.

A - Dark brown, mostly opaque but somewhat translucent. Big full head of tan, rocky, slowly fading.

S - Roast notes and condensed milk, with a bit hint of char and tobacco.

T - Solid roasted malt flavors, with hints of chocolate and coffee, with sweetness and cream. Bitterness comes in a bit in the close.

M - A bit light, but slick and drinkable.

O - A decent porter, but it is the use of the milk here that deserves credit. This is among the more forward uses of it that I've had in a beer. The coffee flavor definitely could be punchier, but the roast elements are nicely fleshed out, and the end result is balanced and drinkable.

Aroma is dominated by sweet lactose, coffee, and cocoa. Smells very rich. Nutty and vanilla notes surface.

Flavor is less sweet than expected, and thankfully so. The roast malt and coffee character counter initially, with a big nutty malt backbone emerging late and carrying into a moderately dry finish.

There's a modest acrid bite that's unfortunately accentuated further by high carbonation.

Had this on tap at the Tin Man for lunch today.

I cannot get over how much better the beer is at Tin Man is now that they have a new brewmaster.

Served in a Pub Class

A: Very dark brown, almost black, with a small creamy head on top. Looked delicious

S: Smelled like the title, Coffee with a hint of cream. Slightly bitter too.

T: Stronger than a lot of porters, which is good, since porters are basically Stout Lite. Strong coffee taste, which I wanted, so I give it a strong plus. It was smooth too, the right amount of carbonation.

M: Coffee-esque, so bitter but smooth. It was very very drinkable.

O: I really love this beer, so much so that I am getting a Growler of it Saturday. If you like porters or coffee, try this one.

I might like this more than the Overlord.
