440ml on-draught @ the taproom.
$12.50 NZD. 6.7% ABV. "Champagne yeast."
A bit dry and overcarbonated. White wine flavour. Pilsner malt. Gooseberry. White wine skin. Noble hop flavour. High minerality.
A bit gimmicky to be honest, but not a bad pilsner despite the relatively high ABV and champagne yeast shtick.

Poured from 650ml bottle into glass. No dating information found on bottle/label.
Cloudy, straw colored body. Poured with a thin white head, which stays around a spell as islands and a ring fed by rising bubbles. Leaves behind differing patterns of lacing.
Does have tropical fruit aromas as described on the label, which seem to be mostly orange citrus.
Taste is refreshing with light fruit hops and sharp lager yeast.
Rather thick for a lager beer. Does have good carbonation, with a champagne bubble mouth feel.
Has kind of a flat overall taste, but is quite refreshing. Upon first pouring the beer appears to be more in the saison experience, but the lager yeast perfectly identifies the beer. Appearance is the best aspect of this beer.

330ml can into 350ml beer glass.
Pours a hazy yellow with little head and no lacing.
Up front bitterness that lingers and leaves a floral perfumery taste - a bit unusual.
Citrus and grapefruit on the nose.
Mouth is OK.
Overall a pretty nice idea but an average beer.

The colour is yellow; the liquid got some chill haze. The high head is white and compact; it sinks slowly leaving thick lacing.
The smell is smooth with some pilsner malt, lemon peels and grapefruit hops. White wine and rubber in the background.
The taste starts off bitter with passing grainy sweetness. Some grapefruit peels and green bananas. Medium body. The aftertaste got growing clean alcohol, tart citric fruits and lemon liquor. The short finish is bittersweet.
The carbonation is strong; the many small bubbles long-lived. The liquid is a bit sticky.
Quite strong new-world pilsner… I did not think it was particularly interesting.
