Great location right off of time square.
I really nice selection of local brews (Bronx, Harlem, Chelsea, Brooklyn, etc). Proud selection of Ny State brews as well. Maybe 20 or so taps, and a good selection of bottles.
Decor is nice for a beer bar. Hip hop tv station on all the time a bit annoying (and I really like hip hop).
Very cool thing about this place was the tap tables. Two taps at a table (apparently for about ten people).
Wait staff attentive and polite (unlike the rest of the city).
Food was VERY tasty. Burgers are some of the best I have EVER had. Fries were good too.
Beer served cold and in proper glass.
Love the atmosphere. Best in NYC. I can't stand hipsters and bartenders who don't care about you. This place is great. Prices are also VERY friendly for NYC. So much so I ate here twice.
Listen. If you go. You may not think it stands out compared to other classic places. It doesn't. You will appreciate it for what it is in NYC which is an overpriced and overrated city. This is the oasis.

I saw this place quietly open in my neighborhood, without much fanfare. Suddenly, it popped in there, another beer bar in Hell's Kitchen.
Inside the place looks fairly generic, kind of like a mixture of Heartland Brewery and a sports bar. Huge loft-like floor with tons of space and a big-ass bar, plus tables on a raised area reached by a short staircase.
On Saturday nights it turns into a club, with loud dance music, beautiful woman and lots of bridge-and-tunnelers. Weird for a beer bar, huh...
There are four sets of taps, with 40 total and some repeats. A lot of filler (Guinness, Bud Light, Stella) and a lot of low ABV's (Empire Cream, Brooklyn Irish Dry, Sputhern Tier Phin+Matt's).
This being the NY Beer Co, most beers here are local/regional: Sixpoint, Ommegang, Bronx, Lake Placid... but also Goose Island Seasons, Widmer Pitch Black and Founders Porter.
I went for Founders (my fav porter ever) and it was served in a frosty pint. FAIL! But damn good service. They've been opened for a short time and you can tell they are eager to impress.
They also have 53 bottles, beer flights, beer cocktails and growlers to stay or to go. Better prices than the sister bar House of Brews, about $6.50 a pint in average. Check out the silly "Beer Market" gimmick, where beer prices fluctuate like Wall Street and you can get a craft pint for $4 depending on the day.
Didn't try food and it didn't look too appealing, except for maybe the pizzas. While far from impressive, this bar is a worthy stop in Hell's Kitchen/Times Square. I will be back.
