The soldiers that dragged the 100 cannons up the side of Little Kennessaw Mountain knew something about fortitude. This ale would not let them down. A piney/citrusy/ danky IPA, Cannon Dragger is aggressively dosed with “C” hops all threw itʼs journey from the grain to the glass. Itʼs pays off, Itʼs a feat of amazing beer strength!

A: Medium clear amber honey. Starts with a nice head and leaves some nice lacing. good start

S: Not an overwhelming aroma like some of the greats but what I'm expecting to smell is still there. Nice grapefruit and pine notes with a spring floral aroma

T: Taste has a clean hop flavor that makes it quite refreshing. A little more on the bitter side than Dijits but theres enough of a backbone to keep it drinkable.

M: Nice carbonation throughout the experience with a creamy silky feel that doesn't give me hop burn on the throat

O: Like the other beers ive had from the Burnt Hickory, they all have been really drinkable. The clean hop flavor is something I wouldn't mind having everynight and I'm glad beers like these are coming from georgia. (758 characters)

Bottled Jan 29, bomber.

A beautiful murky orange with pillowy head.

Smells dank--high on the Columbus?--with sweet shortbread in background.

Taste follows nose but is more intense. An incredibly flavorful brew.

Feel and overall reminds me of port brewing, but far from an imitation.

Overall: maybe I benefit from getting the fresh goods here in Atlanta, but this is easily the best commercially available ipa from Georgia. Great use of contrast between dank, luscious hops and somewhat sweet malts that fool people into thinking this is "east coast" style. No, this strikes me as a fabulous riff off port brewing masterpieces like mongo but it is still its own Georgia thang. Fantastic. (691 characters)

Aroma is seriously hoppy - boing boing boing! Pours a nice, somewhat hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Flavor has strong hoppy note with hints of honey and fruit. Texture is firm and smooth with lots of fizz and liveliness. If you like hoppy beers, look for this one next time you are in the Atlanta area. (311 characters)

Look: Clear honey. Big white swath of a head with messy lacing.
smell: Grapefruit and piney notes. Some floral. Big nose.
Taste: mostly dry, with a bit of sweetness that is wiped out in a bitter, pithy finish. Some of the same floral notes as the nose but not as rich.
overall: Another nice IPA. Not top tier imo but nice. (322 characters)

12oz pour at Wild Wing Cafe (Marietta, GA) 3.95. Served in a boring 12oz cylinder glass.

Pours deep red orange with a soft clingy half finger of pale head. Sheets of lacing throughout.

Smells of robust citrus and pine with some sweet malts in the background.

Taste delivers on those big citrusy hops. Grapefruit, orange zest, pine resin and slight mango with sweet biscuit and peppery in the finish. The booze is well integrated, being noticeable but never distracting.

Oily slick medium full feel with average carbonation. Long bitter pepper grapefruit aftertaste.

Another outstanding brew from Burnt Hickory. With an IPA this robust I'm really looking forward to trying their imperial IPA. Highly recommended. (721 characters)

Probably overscoring this but its just too far ahead of anything available in the ATL area. Got a bottle dated just a few days ago and damn it tastes fresh. Have not had anything this fresh from a bomber around these parts before. As the label says the taste is nice and hoppy with citrus and mellow pine. Damn bitter. Good malt backbone but the malt is not as present as most IPAs you find around Maltlanta. Price is a bit steep for regular consumption (assuming i could even find more of these) but a nice treat for hopheads looking for a local hop bomb that actually delivers. (579 characters)

Poured from bomber into IPA glass. Love this IPA from one of my favorite local breweries! Dank, piney, resinous with a strong flavorful malt character. Thanks Chester for sharing! (179 characters)

Auburn color with off white head. Good lacing. Sugar beets, caramel and earthy fresh hop nose. Sweet malt, caramel and pine up front; woody, dry hop finish. Medium mouthfeel with dry resinous tongue coating. Excellent balance of dry earthy hop flavors and malt undertone. Very flavorful. (287 characters)
