Highly overcarbonated. Had to wait quit a while to drink it. Taste was ok. SOme good hop taste mixed in to the darker roast tones. Smell was off, didn't enjoy.

Way overcarbonated. Odd. Drinkable but not really good.

Over-carbonated, made the beer hard to drink or evaluate

Seems infected, based on all other reviews. Not the first time I've had this issue with Night Shift, making me hesitant to seek their stuff out. This was a carbonation gusher. Massive head out of the bottle, and odd smell. Taste was just totally off, like the few other carb bombs I've had. Was excited to try this, but sadly it was a drain pour.

This bottle seems to be off based on the draft reviews.
I got tons of carbonation, the foam was volcanic in my glass. Very thin tasting porter, and a bit of a funk taste. The Night shift crew said not to expect funk in this beer (via Twitter), but I am guessing a few bottles got infected.
I bought my bottle at Julios two weeks ago, and its been in the fridge since then.

This beer is best served at about 50°F or so- to bring out the taste and finish.
At first I poured it into a Stone imperial pint glass and later switched to a Moa snifter.
The color is dark brown- a porter brown.
The aroma: light fruit and roasted malt.
Mouth feel: carbonated and tart.
Taste: sweet, deep roasts, fruit, and chocolate.
The finish is unusual for a porter: slightly bitter and very hoppy.
Overall: a very different and enjoyable approach to a porter- not my favorite style. I often find that porters are lackluster.
The roasts combined with sweetness, and hoppy bitterness make it a worthwhile beer to check out.
