ACBF cask with vanilla beans?

A-Pours a heavy orange with a creamy, lasting head.

S-Definitely getting vanilla. Maybe getting even more banana than vanilla. Esters and light Belgian spice.

T-Tastes like banana flavored vanilla yogurt. Some honey. Sweet, fruity yeast flavor with a backing of yeastspice.

M-Cask. Warmer, flatter, creamier. The feel pairs well with the flavors of this beer.

O-A neat cask beer. Seems like it was made for the cask treatment or cask would probably be its optimal pouring median.

Pours cloudy amber with a thick off white head.

Smells strongly of spices with a hint of vanilla.

Tastes different than I expected. The vanilla is disappointingly subtle. The strongest flavor is spice with some bitterness.

Mouthfeel-Crisp and slightly carbonated.

Overall-Decent beer. I had hoped for more vanilla.

Purchased this after a tour of the brewery.

Pours with a huge head, there must be a decent bit of wheat in the malt bill here, this head looks like something I would normally see on a german wheat beer. The beer itself is a hazy and a deep straw color.

The nose is a bit hard to pick out, the beer is HEAVILY carbonated and the CO2 release is making it a little tough to get a good idea of the actual smell. I'm getting a little bit of alcohol and some candied fruit, much more going on here than I would normally expect for a belgian pale ale.

The taste is much less boozy that I would have thought from the nose, for a 7% its pretty well hidden here. There is no discernible hop character, very yeasty taste (almost like a lot of hefeweizen's) up front. Perhaps its because of the multi yeast fermentation, but I think there is quite a lot of yeast floating around here, very bready.

This is a delightful beer. It is really complex and not at all too boozy. It has a lot of characteristics like a wheat-beer and I dig that. This is a great brew. Definitely a buy again.
