Visited Ohio for the day, stopped in Bowling Green for lunch. Stopped at Liquor Outlet on a whim while eating at a restaurant a few doors down. Did not have high hopes as it is located directly across the street from Bowling Green State University. Three gas stations around it all advertise "beer caves" and thought this store would be slinging swill. Turned out to be a full service liquor store with easily twice as much shelf space devoted to craft than macro.
Pleasantly surprised by a more than decent selection. I came in looking for Fat Heads Head Hunter - check. They have a wall of singles that seems representative of all the packages they have. Picked up fresh Green Flash Palate Wrecker, DFH Saison de Buff (at 3.99/bottle the priciest single I saw), Ballast Point Sculpin (one week away from end of best by). Passed over B.O.R.I.S from Hoppin Frog and wishing I had picked it up. They also had Speedway Stout and some other tasty treats.
Service was decent, but nothing beyond asking if I was finding everything alright and providing editorial on my selections at the checkout. (1,093 characters)

The location if perfect for stopping to pick up things if you are traveling to or from MIor Toledo along 75 . I have stopped 2 times now. Once about 4 months ago and once last week. in that time they had added a growler station with 4 or 6 taps. Each time someone had asked what I was looking for and offered to help. They are pretty knowledgeable. The gentlemen saw I had a few IPA's and mentioned they has Sculpin on the growler station. They probably had just about everything available they could from the local distributors. ...the only issue is it's in BG. Go Rockets! (574 characters)
