Pours a brilliant clear gold with a frothy half inch head. Lots of carbonatation. Hefty hops hit the nose first, with lots of pine and grass characteristics. Mild cereal malt fills out the rest of the aroma, filling in the cracks left by the hops. Moderate carbonation, good mouthfeel, nice hop bitterness in the finish. Taste is hop forward, but there's a nice subtle malt sweetness that helps balance things out. The body of the beer is lightly syrupy, though the heavy carbonation helps keep it from being overpowering or cloying. Overall it's a very solid and very drinkable example of the American IPA style.
