Oberon is a wheat ale fermented with Bell's signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer. Made with only 4 ingredients, and without the use of any spices or fruit, Oberon is the color and scent of sunny afternoon.

Welcome to Oberon season! This is the time of year when half the bottle shops in my area stock half the store with a wide variety of craft brews, and the other half... Bell's Oberon!

I now have a full supply of this in the fridge, thanks to a weekend party we hosted for my wife's work. I thought I was doing the good BA thing by buying a small amount of this to hopefully convert some of the Bud/Corona drinkers to craft beer. Little did I know, some of them knew a craft beer or two, knew it tasted better than macro-muck, and they ALL brought six packs of... you guessed it!

A: Fairly murky, apricot-orange color, with a slight 1/2 finger or so froth that dwindled down to a diluted Alka-Seltzer formation. Nice retention.

S: Puts the capital "W" in Wheat! Fruit of the citrus variety along with sour dough bread and massive bails of wheat.

T: Crisp, satisfying, fruity, and with a fruit juice quality that makes for a great summer brew. It finishes every bit as smooth as it starts.

M: No booze detected, no sugar high created in my body, and the palate came out about as clean as the glass.

O: A lot of people bag on this brew, and to be honest, I used to be one of them. In previous year's batches, I got a distict vomit aftertaste on this one. Perhaps my tastes have changed? Dunno. However, the brew I just drank was very well done...

I usually like this beer on a summer day at a bbq or at the beach. It's got the citrus wheat with the slice of orange that is somewhat iconic for Bells. My only gripe is that the looks department is rather murky, but the taste makes up for it. That said, I would likely prefer the Two-Hearted.

One of my go to wheat beers. A very nice citrus orange color with a nose to match. Its classic wheat with a hint of spice on the end. It doesn't sell well in my area so I can get it for $4 a six pack right nnow.a hard deal to beat

Nice refreshing summertime beer. Not going to knock your socks off but it’s a good crushable session beer. Good for the lake, cookouts, pool and tailgating.

July 2023. Hartwell. Nice can. Karen said it had a good head but she is not a beer drinker so we have to weigh that with a grain of salt. A little bitter tasting overall it’s nothing that’s knocking my socks off, but I would certainly drink it over other things. This is a pretty good review don’t you think

Lemon zest and some yeasty alcohol esters. Mouth feel is really where its at with a nice bite but still syrupy and not too heavy. Slight wheat and lemony taste with a slight floral hop.
