A good whiff reveals a spicy smell of fresh mown wheat with lemony yeast overtones.
This annual offering is rich with sediment, especially if it is near the end of the barrel and the bar keep rocks and rolls it for you before drawing a pint. The result is a dense cloud of orange-amber slosh, almost the shade of a milky Orange Julius.
After a few swigs, only a light foam remains from the two-finger head, but plenty of carbonation is released in the mouth as the citrus notes accent the lightly toasted whole wheat bread (with a bit of peach jam) flavor.
A good all-around summer staple with plenty of punch.
