Gold orange with a small white head that laces great down the glass. Citrus, sweet malt, and light pepper in the aroma. Taste follows leading with a sweetness from the wheat, citrus underneath and slight peppery/floral hop finish. Medium body, good carbonation, slight creamy feel, slightly drying finish. Just a solid beer, easy drinking and great summer beer flavors.

Pours an opaque orange-gold in color, topped with a creamy off-white head. Very good lacing, and a nice visual presentation altogether.

The nose is zesty and fruity; The combination of wheat malt and juicy, citrusy hops is very enticing.

On the palate it's a sweeter, maltier beer than many other wheat ales, but also well balanced by a blend of aroma and bittering hops. There's a good deal of malt sweetness her, but the bitterness keeps it in check while the aromatic hops complement the wheat malt, providing a character of lemon zest and orange zest.

The body is fairly full for a wheat beer, and certainly much heavier than either a Bavarian hefeweizen or Belgian wit.

Very good mouthfeel altogether -- very full-bodied and satisfying for what it is, while also going down easily.

On the other hand, it is a stronger and more full-bodied beer to begin with, so it is not too easy to drink. It's satisfying and refreshing /easy-drinking (although not quite brisk) while also being satisfying enough that one or two pours might just fill you up! This makes it a well-balance beer on another level. As far as "lighter, summer beers" go, Oberon is practically a barleywine. Okay, I won't go that far, but it's definitely a sipper.

When it comes to an unfiltered pale wheat ale, Oberon is pretty much the gold standard insofar as the upper midwest's Craft Beer scene is concerned.

Love wheat beer. This one fell short for me. Tasted more like flat beer than wheat beer.

Murkey, hazy, dark yellow color with a puffy head. The smell is of wheat, with a bit of twang, and grassiness. Some grain. The taste is slanted sweet, with a suitable bitterness for balance. Fuller in mouthfeel than I expected, with a lot of fizziness. I expected more from this beer.

Oberon Ale is definitely a good choice when you're looking for a sweet flavor without going for the extremely sweet taste. It's refreshing and still tastes like an ale with the Orange aroma and flavor.

Mild yeasty notes, thick malt and wheat, light citrus, and bright earthy, peppery, and piney hop notes. Very cloudy orange-yellow brew. Thin head.

Flavor follows. Very refreshing; clearly a wheat ale, but with a nice hoppy bite mid palate. Milky and chewy wheat finish.

Surprisingly nice, a bit like shandy but proper beer. Nice hoppiness for a summer ale.

Nice but light citrus flavor and a good bite. Light golden in color, slightly cloudy, everything you would expect from a Pale American Wheat without going too far. Slight citrus smell, inviting, not overbearing. Very refreshing and easy to drink. One of the preeminent Summer Ales in my opinion. Not too fruity or sweet like many others in the genre.

Spicy hop aroma.
Very drinkable.
Nice carbonation bite.
Light citrus profile.

What can I say? This is a very formidable pale wheat that doesn't overdo it on the citrus. The spicyness from the hops and the ever so slightly bitter finish make this beer great.

Will actively seek out this brew again when I want a break from the usual IPA.

Look- cloudy yellow-gold beer, with a light head that dissipates quickly
Smell- wheaty and a hint of flowers
Taste- Wheaty, good hoppy notes, light citrus (perhaps orange)
Feel- Crisp, good light finish
Overall:: very good deal beer, from TJ's, light and perfect light ale for the summer

Heard so highly of it so maybe got my hopes up. Pours very nicely. Good head. But something about the taste is off to me. A little too hoppy for a wheat for me.

Smell of coriander and orange peel - the orange perhaps by suggestion of the label color.
Light enough to be refreshing on a hot day, with a decent bite from carbonation and enough character to be interesting. A little bitter at the finish to even it out.
