12 oz. bottle poured into a Duvel tulip (bottled on 6/6/13)
A: Pours a big 3 finger head.
S: Nice wheaty head that smells almost like a saison.
T: Refreshing. Very wheaty. Just tastes like a wheaty pale ale, which I guess it is from the style, but this is my first one in the style. A bit like a stronger saison. Quite a bit of farmhouse in here.
M: Nice and smooth, with only a bit of crispness.
O: Not bad, but it isn't really my style, but it is much better than regular APAs. I didn't finish it but I could see me finishing it if someone brought it some place. I made beer pancakes with the rest of it and they were delicious.

On tap at Grand Trunk pub in downtown Detroit, just prior to the Tigers game. First beer after a long drive on a humid afternoon.
Poured into an unlabeled nonic, served with an orange, which I removed. Honey golden in colour, a bit hazy, though still a nice bright brew. About a half inch of head that survived as a steady layer of foam.
Orange peel, lemon, mild wheat ale notes, spices. Refreshing and summery, and about on par for the style. Certainly a bolder nose than others of the type.
Malt sweetness, big citrus in the form of orange and lemon, mild drying spiciness. Very refreshing, this beer disappeared in a matter of minutes. Not particularly complex, but on a hot summer day such as this, it absolutely hit the spot.
It's not usually my style, and I probably won't make a special point of seeking it out, but if I see it on tap again this summer I will certainly order another. Refreshing summer ale - an above-average pale wheat ale.
