Murkey, hazy, dark yellow color with a puffy head. The smell is of wheat, with a bit of twang, and grassiness. Some grain. The taste is slanted sweet, with a suitable bitterness for balance. Fuller in mouthfeel than I expected, with a lot of fizziness. I expected more from this beer.

Oberon Ale is definitely a good choice when you're looking for a sweet flavor without going for the extremely sweet taste. It's refreshing and still tastes like an ale with the Orange aroma and flavor.

Mild yeasty notes, thick malt and wheat, light citrus, and bright earthy, peppery, and piney hop notes. Very cloudy orange-yellow brew. Thin head.

Flavor follows. Very refreshing; clearly a wheat ale, but with a nice hoppy bite mid palate. Milky and chewy wheat finish.

Nice but light citrus flavor and a good bite. Light golden in color, slightly cloudy, everything you would expect from a Pale American Wheat without going too far. Slight citrus smell, inviting, not overbearing. Very refreshing and easy to drink. One of the preeminent Summer Ales in my opinion. Not too fruity or sweet like many others in the genre.

Spicy hop aroma.
Very drinkable.
Nice carbonation bite.
Light citrus profile.

What can I say? This is a very formidable pale wheat that doesn't overdo it on the citrus. The spicyness from the hops and the ever so slightly bitter finish make this beer great.

Will actively seek out this brew again when I want a break from the usual IPA.

Smell- wheaty and a hint of flowers
Taste- Wheaty, good hoppy notes, light citrus (perhaps orange)
Feel- Crisp, good light finish
Overall:: very good deal beer, from TJ's, light and perfect light ale for the summer

Heard so highly of it so maybe got my hopes up. Pours very nicely. Good head. But something about the taste is off to me. A little too hoppy for a wheat for me.

Smell of coriander and orange peel - the orange perhaps by suggestion of the label color.
Light enough to be refreshing on a hot day, with a decent bite from carbonation and enough character to be interesting. A little bitter at the finish to even it out.

A nice summer brew - has a light peach taste combined with some grassiness and lemon zest. It also has a touch of hop to dry it slightly. This is not a groundbreaking wheat beer, but certainly enjoyable and tasty.

Before Bell's was ubiquitous in northwest Ohio, a friend brought this down from a golf trip in Michigan and used it to pay me for some work I did around his place. Kicking back a few of these on a summer afternoon watching baseball in his garage may have some influence over me, but a bright glass of this on a warm summer day equals happiness. The complex aroma compliments the brightness of the beer. It may look and smell better than it tastes, but that's not a bad thing.

A- a beautiful hazy light golden orange. Quite a bit of lacing from the huge head I got. Poured from a 16oz can.
S- a wheaty nose with some yeasty hint
T - a light orange and pale ale zing. Suttle sweetness and other citrusy hop flavors pop in back of the mouth.
M- a clean zing. Nice and smooth at first and mid mouth crispness.
O- I wouldn't drink this all the time but if I was looking for a better blue moon alternative (more so less sweet) then I would go with this. A good solid quality beer.

Personally my favorite of it's style; my "go-to" summer beer.

Had some out-of-season once before, and it was pretty terrible; moral of the story is to take seriously the brewer's recommendation of a 6 month shelf-life after bottling/canning!

For all the hype, I found it to be underwhelming and unremarkable without a lot of distinguishing character. It's not bad, but it's just kind of there, existing.

Liked it. Did not know the style upon first taste and guessed saison?? But did not get any Belgian yeast taste after that first sip. Great cloudy pour, good summer beer.

Poured from a tallboy can into a nonic, the beer is a hazy, unfiltered, yellow-gold coloring with a frothy, bubbly, tall, clingy, white head. Aromas of orange rind, lemon zest, toasted grains, banana, clove spice, subtle grassy notes, and some bready qualities. Very enticing aromas. Flavors are fruity and bready forward, with a solid dose of lemon and orange on a toasted grain backbone, with subtle banana highlights and a healthy spice blend. Very balanced and extremely drinkable. The body is smooth and light, again making this an incredibly easy drinker. The aftertaste is toasty and bready, with subtle citrus notes still hanging on. Smooth, light finish, with a frothy linger at the end. Good beer.

We are planning to go camping tomorrow night and I asked my wife to pick up a six pack of something. She said, IPA? and I replied sure.

Not an IAP but a pretty good beer nonetheless. I think I taste a little fruit, but not real fruity (like Mark Ford). Ha ha.

Definitely a beer you cold have several of on a hot summer day and still enjoy it. A keeper for sure.

I also imagine it isn't real expensive as my wife would never buy a real expensive beer for me.

Good choice Laura!

This beer is a gold-yellow color with a great smell of summer and fruits such as grape. The taste was refreshing and light with a hint of citrus. Overall a great beer. I would definitely try it again.

This beer is orangey-gold in color. It smells slightly of citrus and wheat. The taste has hints of citrus with bitter notes (like an orange peel) with just a hint of spices. The body is excellent. Easy to drink on either a warm or cold day. I enjoy it with an orange slice.

This was pretty good, very refreshing. To sum it up in short, it's a 'craft' brewery version of Blue Moon and Shock Top. That is not a bad thing though, I happen to love Blue Moon and Shock Top (my starter beers), and this one follows in that same direction but with a few differences. There is more of a hop presence on the back end and the flavor profile of the orange tastes a little bit more natural and smooth. Otherwise, much the same as the other two.

Would purchase again.

16 oz can poured into a Pilsner glass.

Super cloudy yellow with 1 finger of white head. Yeast sediment litters the glass.

Tangy wheat, lemon, and sourdough.

Fresh baked white bread along with some sourdough. Tangy wheat, lemon, and pear. Finishes with some grassy bitterness.

Medium-light bodied, crisp, and semi-dry with a moderate bitterness for the style.

Wheaty and bready yet very boring...

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a mug.

Appearance: The body has a light haze and a nice yellow color. It’s head is bright white, tall and long lasting. It also make some nice lacing on the glass.

Smell: I get light notes of sour dough bread, light grain and light grassy hops with a slight citrusy lemon.

Taste/Palate: Up front it’s bready with mild citrusy notes moving in. As it finishes more grassy hop bitterness comes out. Overall it’s refreshing and we’ll carbonated.

Beautiful well rounded Ale. Perfect for summer evenings. The Citrus aroma rounds the full body a wheat ale can often have making it uniquely light for a wheat ale.

I am going to be a stereotypical Michigander right now but this is my absolute favorite beer for the summer. I love the light citrus notes and the smell of hops when you open it. Bell's does a great job with this beer and there is no question to as why it does well. Even when you first pour it looks phenomenal with it's light amber color!
