oversized wine glass
A- Pours very dark brown near black, looks black in the glass. Finger high head that is hot chocolate in color, fades quickly and leaves a slight ring around the glass.
S- Dark malt, dark chocolates, hints of vanilla, some subdued sweetness like hot coco
T- Bitter chocolate, slightly burnt coffee, has a hoppy bit that hits in the middle and lingers into the finish. Has a full complex flavor that grows on you.
M- Full and creamy, smooth but thick, surprising amount of fizziness for the lack of bubbles coming through in the glass.
O- To me the smell is better than the taste, had a bit to much bitterness for me, the flavor is pretty good, would have to be in the mood for the bite tho. The fizziness was a little more than I cared for, but passable. Would have another, but wont be stocking it.

Gainesville House of Beers - on-tap
A - black as night. Thin tan head. Looks beautiful, the way I like my home brewed stouts to look.
S - nice roasty/smokiness. Caramel malts evident. Some cocoa in there too.
T - starts out with this nice roasted maltiness. Has chocolate coming out next with some coffee as well. Not as impressive I guess as I had thought.
M - full body but not as oil thick as other stouts. Drinkable and not too heavy.
O - I like it, not even close to some of Bell's other stuff (can you compare anything to Black Note).
