12oz Bottle at Headkeepers, Greensburg PA.
Appearance: Dark to mostly pitch black. Nice head that retained throughout drink. Impressive for a RIS.
Smell: Unbelievable dark, bitter chocolate and cocoa.
Taste: Same as the smell. Extremely bitter chocolate that made you want to have another sip. Also detect some very slight raison and fig. Not as sweet as the smell would indicate. Alcohol does not appear until beer warms up. Even then it is not "HOT" but there to remind this is 10.5%.
Overall: an excellent RIS and one that I am glad was only 12oz. A bomber would have been too much.
Serving type: bottle
