Opened a bottle from batch 10068 - bottled 11/11/2010 and poured into a snifter.
Pours nice and thick, dark brown/black with a thin brown head. Looks like a great RIS.
This smells sweet and malty and strongly of raisins and tastes pretty much the same. Still a little hot after 15 months. The carbonation is nice, present but light, with a sticky sweetness.
Overall, I am underwhelmed at this point. It is a good solid RIS but I really prefer it fresh and cannot wait to get some from from a recent batch to review again.
