A: Pretty much black but with just a hint of brown. 1 finger dark mocha head that settles slowly. Good lace
S: Sweet molasses and alcohol dominate, but at 10.5% I was expecting it. Also present are vanilla, espresso and spicy, dark fruit.
T: Very sweet plum, date and/or apricot flavor up front. Heavy coffee ground and espresso middle with an alcoholic, slightly minty finish. Every other sip I sense almond.
M: There's almost a viscosity to this beer but that doesn't make it difficult to drink. It's fairly carbonated and creamy with only a fair stickiness at the end.
O: My first Bell's and it didn't dissapoint. Looking forward to another selection with as much flavor
