12oz bottle, at least 2 years old... not sure how to identify otherwise.
A - Pours a deep, viscious, used motor oil-like burnt sienna to black hue. A hard pour generates almost no bubbles. Opaque, clarity is unavailable.
S - Rich burnt malts, molasses, bitter baking chocolate, coffee, subtle liquorice, soy sauce. No hop aroma.
T - Huge, rich complexity of roasted and burnt malts, soy sauce, coffee, chocolate. Subdued hop bitterness, no hop flavor. Clean, no diacetyl.
M - Viscious, sticky coating on the palate, quite still -- almost no carbonation, slick.
D - I've never had this fresh, but it has held up well for the most part. Rather complex and enjoyable. Would like to try this again.
