Pours almost a light purple. Darker than most of the barleywines i've drank. Smells sweet. Smells of fig and burnt sugar. Tastes quite the same, very sweet, but good. Noticeable alcohol, but barely. I swear I taste a bit of maple syrup. Maybe a bit of raisin. Pretty decent balance between the flavors and the alcohol. Mouthfeel isn't as creamy as I would've liked. Moderate carbonation. Overall this is something I might like to age with hopes that the alcohol flavor goes away. Very nice.
