Bottle dated 4/6/2012. So almost a year old beer.
Poured into a snifter. No head. Almost brown color with some ruby hues. Decent lacing. Almost opaque as such, with some translucency in light. No bubbles. Calm.
A lot of malts upfront. Caramel. Bready and sweet. Np alcohol as such. Some fruity esters. Low to none hops in the nose.
Taste is full of malt with very very slight hop bitterness, almost hidden, towards the end. Well this could be an old ale but neither seems to be an American or English Barleywine. No. A lot of caramel flavor and some hop mixed malt flavor. Finish is almost dry with just hint of bitterness which i am just giving to the beer.
Mouth feel is slightly full bodied with some maltiness. Low to non existent carbonation. A good amount of alcohol warmth but no at all boozy.
