Bottled 11/24/2012 (So about a 9 nine month age on it.)
Poured into a snifter dark murky brownish red color with creamy tan head. Good lacing and a fair amount of head considering its 10.5% abv.
Smells of roasted malt, cherries, vanilla, booze, slight hop smell.
Mouth feel is a tad thin for me but is still creamy and coats the mouth.
Tastes much like the smell and then some, notes of cherries, vanilla, bourbon, roasted malts, light chocolate, slight grapefruit taste when the hops kick in at the end.
Overall its a great Barleywine that i will get again, would like to try one fresh and and one more aged.
