Poured from a 12oz Bottle into a Firestone Walker Tulip
A: Pours Pitch black with a tan half-finger head that lingers only for a short-while.
S: Coffee, Coffee and more coffee. Everything from roasted beans to even a note or two of espresso. The roastiness is much more apparent than in other coffee stouts I have had. As it warms, cinnamon notes also come into play
T: Up front is espresso, followed by roasted coffee beans and some chocolate. Smoke lingers and leaves an almost burnt coffee taste in the back of the mouth. Not bad
M: Creamy, just the right amount of carbonation to keep things lively.
O: I gave this beer straight 4's. It has a fantastic coffee flavor that is at once intense, and still lingers very nicely. A well done beer. If you have ever had chocolate covered espresso beans (good ones) that is the closest thing to describe the flavor on this one
