If I had two words to aptly describe this beer they would be: Java & Stout.
This beer was pour from a bottle into a 4oz. tasting glass. It was the absence of color, black. The smell was of a stout without a doubt.
After a long night of tasting several high abv beers (mostly stouts) the concensus was that tasting this was like cigar ash. It reminded me of Starbucks left sitting on the pot for a few hours, ice cold. It tastes like I should be having this brew with cream and splenda. A dark dark roast of coffee. Bold.
Was not a huge fan of this 7.5% abv beer. Might give it a shot as the first beet of the night. Better for winter months. Not to be consumed in mass quantities.
