12 oz. bottle poured into a Sierra Nevada Snifter Style Glass. Dark Brown close to black in color. The edges have brown and deep red highlights. A hard pour gives a coffee milk colored cap that initially comes up pretty big; it goes away after a few minutes.
The Smell is probably the best part in my opinion. Dark roasted malts dominate the nose. It produces aromas of coffee and vanilla.
Taste is good but not nearly as good as it smells. Coffee and vanilla tones are present along with some extra bitterness. It's tones of unsweetened chocolate and some earthy hops.
Full bodied and moderately smooth. Good carbonation level with a surprisingly clean bitter finish. Not quite what I expected, not really a milky or creamy feel, but still good and smooth, very drinkable. All in all a pretty good stout, not quite what I expected, but very good.

A - Pours pitch black with a two-finger tan foamy head. Heavy lacing.
S - Roasted malts, sweet milk chocolate, and dark coffee.
T - Follows the smell. Roasted malts with sweet milk chocolate. Bitter coffee in the middle. Finish is smokey.
M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Smooth drinking with a watery mouthfeel.
O - Very easy drinking roasted stout. A little more body would help out. Still very good.

Had this last night at the bar, I have not had anything from Bell's that I have disliked so far. This one I truly appreciated, since it is a cream stout that does not contain dairy. Nice smooth mouth feel, delicious chocolate flavor. This stout is pleasing, without being thick and is very easy to drink. I recommend it highly.
