GLASS: Sam Adams Perfect Pint Glass
TEMP: Cellared @ approx 45 degrees
BATCH NUMBER: 9566 (February 2nd, 2010)
Backlighting this glass gives away only the slightest hint of brown, this is damn near solid black, in color. A two-finger head of creamy, dark brown colored, foam sits on top. It recedes to leave a surface covering layer approx 1/8th of an inch thick. The lacing is in medium-to-thick strands and is sufficiently sticky.
This is a wonderfully rich and inviting nose. Loads of smooth roasted malts come forth. A beautiful touch of cocoa powder. Traces of dark chocolates. Light touches of dark roasted coffee. Caramel notes. An almost lacto sweetness.
Follows the nose. The smoothness of flavor is really nice. Each component blends very nicely with the rest. Slightly more dry than the nose hinted at.
Full-bodied with a medium-to-high level of carbonation. Nicely creamy and very smooth.
This one is designed for drinking all through your session. Delicious. Smooth. Easy.
