Served from a bottle into a standard pint glass.
A: Molasses brown to black. Head is lovely light brown.
S: Dark roasty malts and coffee notes.
T: The taste is bittersweet chocolate and coffee that weaves in and out of the pure roasted malt flavors. This taste profile carries through the entire drink to swallow. Slight notes of tobacco are coming through mid-taste with a little warming. I do love this beer.
M: The mouthfeel stands up to the double cream name. This one coats well and then rolls off without being too heavy.
Overall, I haven't visited this brew in a number of years and I forgot what I was missing. Bell's nails a easy drinking and complex stout.
