A - Pours black with a tight, creamy 1/2 inch brown head. Leaves plenty of laces on the way down to an 1/8 inch ring. Swirling leaves small bubbles suspended in a thick glaze on the sides of the glass.
S - Roasted malts and chocolate. Cream in the background (which is impressive as the website states that no milk products are used). Alcohol is very well hidden.
T - Follows aroma - roasted dark malts and sweet cream. Fair amount of bitterness in the end.
M - Medium to thick body, mild carbonation sting. Sweet on the tongue that ends with mild bitterness. Bitterness last a while on the palate. Warm on the throat.
D - Very enjoyable, drinkable beer. Heavy feel fits the style and would prevent the consumption of more than a few.
Overall - Well balanced, enjoyable sweet stout.
