On tap at the Winking Lizard.
Black with no head and ruby red edges.
Smells of roasted malt and cherry. Not appealing, smells like subdued notes of cough syrup.
Ewww. This is just not good. Dark roasted malt. Sweet and sour cherry. Booze. Just a mess, really. I'm surprised this beer is still made by Bells - this really sucks.
Mouthfeel was ok. Nice carb and crisp feel.
Drinkability was bad - this tastes horrible and I do not want to take another sip.
Worst Bells Beer ever, including that smoked anniversary beer my 21 year old palatte wasn't quite ready for years ago...

Notes from 7/16/14 at Hopleaf in Chicago, IL
Bottle into pint glass.
A: Opaque dark brown with a light brown head that disappears. Minimal lacing
S: Tart cherries, dark chocolate. Yeasty and musty.
T: Tart cherries. Roasted malts.
M: Thin a mildly carbonated. Too thin for what I was looking for in a stout.
D: Not very drinkable. Thin and tart. Does not hold up well to room temperature. This is cherry juice with a little stout, not the other way around, unfortunately.
