A- Poured into a Stone sniffer and got about a 1" dark mocha head on a pure black body.
S- Alcohol, big chocolate, big burnt malts, dark fruits, black currants, light hops, and quite a few other subtle characters that are hard to pick out.
T- Just a really big strong flavor all over. Big chocolate, huge burnt malts, just a touch of coffee, alcohol, vanilla, and dark fruits. I think there are just a ton of different kind of burnt malts in here to give it a really complex flavor. Alcohol warms back of throat and leaves a big warming. Really dry burnt characters with just a touch of fruit in there for the aftertaste.
M- Full body with low carbonation. Goes down smooth.
D- I think I'll have to agree with the people that say this won't hit it's peak for at least another 10 years. You will be able to hold on to this beast for a long time. It is really tasty and glad I got to try it. If this was barrel aged in some bourbon barrels for about a year you would want to step out of its way.

Thanks to Dan for sharing this bottle.
Pours pitch black with no head. Looks like moderate thickness, maybe slightly on the thin side. Tiny bit of caramel coloring at the edges.
Smell is really sweet, vanilla, cherry, milk chocolate, licorice, molasses. Definitely smells oxidized, but nice.
Taste is licorice, slight bitterness, chocolate, molasses, oxidation.
Mouthfeel is medium thickness, very slight carbonation. Slick, slightly oil.
This beer is very sweet, but tasty. I can't help but think it's past its prime, however. Would have liked to try this fresh. At this point it is frankly a bit cloying, and difficult to drink more than 4-5 ounces.
