Bell's O'fest pours a clear copper in color with a khaki colored head. Aroma has hints of light caramel malt, some biscuit. I also get a hit of unexpected perfume that combines with a slight fruitiness... almost like apple. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and rather carbonated. The taste is malty on the forefront. Middle has a really odd seltzer like quality to it, which is unfortunate. The finish is harsher than expected for an Oktoberfest. Grainy and alcoholic, but mostly flavorless and dry.
I was disappointed in this offering. I've had plenty of great Bell's beers in the past and this was quite a letdown. Flavors were off and rather unenjoyable for an Oktoberfest beer. I kind of wish I didn't waste the money on a six pack of it.
