This pours a very clear medium amber, with a moderate amount of large bubbled foam that dissipates pretty quickly.
Nice aroma out of the bottle, some hops and a bit of malty aroma.
The taste is pretty well balanced between spicy hops and slighty nutty malt, and there are no off flavors present.
Mouthfeel is okay, nice bitterness from the hops, but would be better with a more carbonation showing. The strong but not overpowering taste, high level of craftsmanship end up making this a very drinkable Octoberfest.
I have had two other Octoberfests this year. The HackerPschorr tasted like lager with some extra hops sprinkled in, while the Leinie's was somewhat similar to Bells but with some off flavors. Bells is best so far.
