Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass.
Appearance: Beer is very pale straw color with some mild carbonation visible through the glass. Head is angel white and recedes quickly leaving only a ring around the edge of the glass.
Smell: Some decent hop flavor, with a tinge of corn added for bad measure. Grassy malt tones.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Beer tastes like grass clippings brewed into a tea then refrigerated overnight. Body is light- to medium-bodied, and carbonation is mellow with a slight rush in the middle of the taste. Beer goes down leaving a super bitter flavor that is neither pleasurable nor displeasing.
Overall: An average beer. Not a good pale lager, not a good beer. Getting a little tired of Michigan beers not living up to their state's great reputation.

Poured on tap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, crystal clear, straw gold coloring, with a sparse filmy white surface coat. Nose of toasted grains, subtle berry sweetness, and floral hops. Flavors are fruit and floral forward, with a tangy caramel nackbone, some hops resin, and subtle pine notes. Fruitier than I would have expected. Smooth, light bodied, with a tangy, sweet, berry fruit aftertaste. Smooth, slick finish.

Real Time review: Drinking this right now. A lot of hype where I live about this brewery. Just poured the bottle into my trusty Old Style pint glass. Nothing mind blowing. Pours a 1" foamy head (quickly dissipating) with a typical golden lager color. Has a little bit of sweetness to it. Very heavy and distinctive aftertaste I can't pinpoint. Just finished the glass: Overall it's good, but not great.

For what it is, it’s enjoyable. This pours a clear, light straw color. Light aroma, some bready and lemony notes. Crisply flavored with a touch of breadiness and a quick finish. Makes me burp—take that for what it’s worth—but with no nasty aftereffects.
