Pours a pleasing golden color with a nice white two finger head. Active carbonation floats upward - a nice looking lager.

Nice grassy hops aroma with a hint of spicyness and a little pine resin. A little bit of malt sweetness comes through as well.

Taste is assertively hoppy with a sweet grainy malt in the background. The malt is pilseneresque, the hops have a nice, crisp pine resin bitterness with a little spice.

Mouth feel is lively and crisp. This is one easy drinking brew with enough going on to keep things interesting. It's almost up there with Prima Pils in the hops department, and I'd say it is pretty comparable to that fine lager. I'll be buying it again. Nice to find a top shelf lager from my home state.

Real Time review: Drinking this right now. A lot of hype where I live about this brewery. Just poured the bottle into my trusty Old Style pint glass. Nothing mind blowing. Pours a 1" foamy head (quickly dissipating) with a typical golden lager color. Has a little bit of sweetness to it. Very heavy and distinctive aftertaste I can't pinpoint. Just finished the glass: Overall it's good, but not great.

For what it is, it’s enjoyable. This pours a clear, light straw color. Light aroma, some bready and lemony notes. Crisply flavored with a touch of breadiness and a quick finish. Makes me burp—take that for what it’s worth—but with no nasty aftereffects.
