Cloudy golden orange color with a short white head. No lacing. Not really that appealing of a beer, but it is true to style so i can't really knock it. A little better head and some lacing would add to this one, but with the high ABV it's not surprising that there isn't much to speak of in the way of head.
Smell of banana and spices. I don't really pick up the coriander or orange peel that is listed on the bottle, really more of a clove smell. The spicyness really kicks in when you take the first taste on this one. Pepper and ohhh yeah, there is the coriander. Very solid wit taste. Finishes dry and spicey. Not much carbonation.
Certainly not my favorite style but i can appreciate that this is a solid version of the style. How did they get 9% out of this thing. It is well hidden and could definately sneek up on you. The high ABV combined with the heavy spice dosing would keep me from drinking more than one of these in a sitting but I would certainly recommend giving this one a try.
